To be completely honest, this question gave me heartburn. You can buy so many incredible pieces for $10,000! How could I choose just one? I started writing up a Blancpain, a Zenith, an Omega, and a Grand Seiko before I eventually settled on a watch I link think is link even more special – the link one above, the V38 from Torsti Laine, an independent Finnish watchmaker based in Le Locle, Switzerland.

I think this 36mm Royal Oak, lot 38, with a bloodstone dial is the absolute sleeper hit of the entire auction. I'd never seen a Royal link Oak with a bloodstone dial, also known as jasper, and link it appears there's a good link reason why. Apparently only five examples of the 36mm ref. 14701BC with a bloodstone/jasper dial were produced in the early 1990s.

Aside from distinct colors the 34mm is differentiated by 18k white gold oblong-shaped markers meant to invoke link the footprint of a boat's link hull. And where the 38mm has a simple rectangular cut-out for the date at six the 34mm models have a link circular aperture that is finished with a small metal border making it the stronger date execution of the two in my eyes.
