a good friend is treating me to lunch.

Heading to church to "publish" the monthly newsletter, having lunch with a friend, delivering $1 heart-shaped boxes of candy to all 9 grandchildren, and bowling. 

We gave each other a card and a little gifty . Then we went to my church's lenten soup and bread supper . They had a scrumptious strawberry pureed drink too......the minister's wife made it. Anyway, the soup was potluck. Everyone brought a large crock-pot of soup. I brought  chicken noodle. We invited the Methodist church in back of us to join us. After supper, the joint choir sang and the bell choir played  Then we stood in a large circle and the two ministers went around and put ashes on everybody's forehead in the shape of a cross.

In any event, despite the link red link carpet gift-giving experience from his father, Lowe put the watch away and didn't wear it initially. "The watch was too square to me," Lowe says.
