Are you cooking up anything special for this New Years Eve/ Hogmanay?

I've been cooking black-eyed peas/beans in the slow cooker for the past eight hours. Made from scratch cornbread is on my list for tomorrow.

I'll be dining out this New Years Eve in one of our most elegant establishments which caters to those with any kind of food intolerances, special diets, etc. It is owned by a couple who are both highly trained chefs and have an excellent grasp of the necessity to "do it right". Looking forward to the celebration!   :)

Blackeyed peas with crab cakes? I've never heard such a thing. LOL

I am making prime rib for New Years Eve. Making bean soup with ham for New Years Day! Prime rib once a year! LOL

I love Prime Rib. My ex-mother-in-law would make it during the Christmas/New Year holiday and it was melt in the mouth delicious. You've got me salivating. LOL

I love prime rib too. My mom used to make it for my birthday . RIP , Mom

Black Eyed Peas as usual (with lots of salted pork) for luck and cabbage for money (with a dime added for someone to gain the most money in the New Year)......

The shop near us sells what is called a smoked ham soup pack, but the only thing in the pack is big chunks of smoked ham. I love to use it when I make any kind of beans because it's so good.
We are having cabbage too, but I cooked it in with the blackeyed peas.
