The first time the Aussies beat the Poms some bright spark burnt the stump bales and place them in a miniature wooden trophy, who ever wins the Ashes can take them back to their country till next year - it is only a competative nonsense between Australia and the UK..

You can have the big one Lindi,it aint worth nothing,but we would gladly take the little one.but even though we beat them,the poms will not let us take the ashes home to Aussie..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

Yes terry. I think you've mentioned being an Aussie once before. I'm Canadian. We had 3 power plays last game, only one penalty, and the opposing team got a 10 minute misconduct and a game. We tied and then went into overtime. Still tied but we won in a shoot out. Exciting isn't it?
