I’m asking because David has decided i to compete with Gahndi and letting lasagne congeal on his plate, I’m weary of reheating it and conjoling doesn’t work, begging takes a back seat, threats dont work so you resort to chocolate milk so he gets some calories.... ill eat cold food depending....

In my experience, people who are sick/depressed/uninterested in life, will decide that they no longer care to eat. No amount of begging, threatening or serving foods that they (used to) like, will work. It is his choice. Serve it....leave it and do the same at the next meal time. If he really is just playing games with you, he will learn the time of the next serving and eat when he gets hungry enough.
