why are my brake lights or tail lights on in the garage when I lifted open the hatchback ? The car is turned off and the front lights are turned off. The back lights are staying on . It's a Ford Focus 2012 Hatchback.

I can only offer that you have a short somewhere. Two currents sharing the same space. Check your fuses first then get a continuity checker to find the crossed wires. I think.....

Have you checked with a ford dealer as it may be a safety feature, do the lights turn off when the hatched is closed?
