Right when the tomato is beginning to ripen but too early to pick, something is taking what looks like a toothy bite out of the top of said fruit. Just one bite out of each one. None of the cherry toms are damaged. What gives?

To me it sounds like a tomato worm, But a turkey or chicken will take a bite of tomato and go down the row tasting each one! You might try Sevin dust if it is an insect if you don't mind pesticides!
