Great products alone, will go nowhere because nothing "sells itself". Usually, you'll hear that expression when someone is trying to get a "non-salesperson" to sell something FOR them and wants to convince him/her how easy it is. Even a great product needs to be properly explained to a potential buyer. That is the job of a great salesperson and that is a learned skill!

Say "word of mouth "? I tell all when I find something fantastic. And most of them will go along. But then, I'm great at sales. Does this mean the product isn't selling itself?
