I made it through the whole list. I'm surprised by a lot of them. Places that I considered visit worthy. Okay, maybe a visit but industry or the lack of has really taken it's toll. Everybody and his dog wants to move to my city. And the numbers coming in are phenomenal! I don't want to move, it's a matter of stubbornness and pride. But your list, clonge, has rendered the other options obsolete. I'll stay as long as I can and curse all the newbies.....

A lot of surprises, capital cities especially, are on the list. Merced and Stockton , however, aren't too surprising, and Merced has one of our UC campuses.

I see  Detroit is  at the top as  the worst city to live in b/c of the crime. I live about 20 miles from Downtown Det. And the two towns between here and Det aren't too good either. I'll say one thing for Det.......it's got 3 casinos; and the one across the river in Canada makes 4 .

Wow, that's a real plus! Great to hear about even more crime. lol

The Persistence of Memory is really our way of trying to envelop link all of these ideas into one. link So yes of course there is an element of reference to Dalí and his painting link because this painting is really speaking about time. But largely it was taking something that was popular in the public domain in the recognition and exploiting it and also leveraging it for our own purposes for this exhibition.
