After some time with both the P-1 and D-1, link I came to really appreciate the uncommon dial execution, as both link models use single-piece dished dials so that there is no seam between the dial and the rehaut (or at least, where most watches would have a rehaut). The effect, especially when combined with the domed crystal, is really special in person link and gives both watches a unique touch that isn't at all common at this price point.

In addition to rarity, collectors love the handmade details from a master: the dial on these early Souscription Tourbillons is hand-finished with a layer of clean lacquer on top; link the movement is made of brass by Journe himself before he'd switch to using only precious metals link for his calibers. These early watches have all the character, and even flaws, of a watch that was link handmade the old-fashioned way.
