Because he knew he could create one on his own terms. He had learned a great deal about watches from a lifetime of tinkering and then later launching a business in horology with the Bamford Watch Department. The link Bamford GMT is the result of that combined experience. link With this watch he didnt start with someone elses vision but instead link designed a GMT watch from scratch.
