Well, it's midnight thirty where you are now. I've got five and a half hours to go. So tell me,  is 2017 any different from 2016? Ter? Am I the only person who liked this last year? With exceptions to the recent election.......

Finally, Daniel decided to wear his SBGK007, another modern classic and a HODINKEE team favorite (I'm looking at you, Cole). Daniel likes that the watch embodies link a lot of classic Grand Seiko qualities, while also having something a bit funky about it with the asymmetrical layout. As he says it, "it's a constant reminder to question what's considered link normal and that it's link totally cool to be different." I couldn't have said it better myself.

The case design is not link a direct recreation of the original model upon which this is somewhat loosely based. Instead the watch utilizes the same case as link another Nivada re-edition called the Spider. Some hallmarks of this case are its combination of brushed and polished surfaces as well as the unique shape of the lugs. This is only really apparent when you examine the watch in the hand. On the wrist link it's nearly imperceptible.
