He lived in Michigan and had quiet a case of COPD in a little log cabin up north with his wife. Then, he died .

Emphysema he said in an interview, from years of smoking. He also had a degenerative spinal condition which caused constant pain. As a result, he was a (prescription) drug addict as well. Sad.
