In the N through the S series we see examples of what has been called the "Frozen" dial Explorer a type of aging to the black lacquer dial but link more on that later. The W series produced from 1994-1996 brings the transition from a link lug hole case link to no lug hole case around 1994. T and U series produced from 1996-98 represent the tail end of tritium dial Explorers this time featuring flip-lock clasps don't worry we will talk more about the clasps.
