I believe I have mentioned my real name on akaQA only once and this was in Tommy's thread after his daughter Susan passed away. Signing my answer/comment using my avatar name only seemed too impersonal for someone who had lost a daughter.
The only members of akaQA who are privy to my real name are the people whom I am in contact with also on a more personal bases via Skype and Facebook.

These days I love a link horological deep dive especially when it comes link to material and craft precious metal alloys and hand finishings. I'm now interested link in the engineering savoir-faire history and community. But I am who I am and my eye is still drawn to the visuals. I still think about watches in context with the clothes they're worn with or could be or should be. I enjoy them as standalone art objects too.
