Have you ever had a brush with death?

I haven't.  Not unless you count severe insulin reactions. Tell us about yours.....

Those count. Without intervention, you wouldn't be here.

I  had a near death experience today while walking our dog. Two crows were fighting while flying above my head and one crow came crashing down in front of me.

Next to the Seagulls, crows are the most seen birds here around where we live and they scare me-reminds me of The Omen and The Birds. One of the crows fighting above my head today landed face first on the cement and it looked painful.

A subarachnoid haemorrhage in 1989, liver tumour 2003, still around and happy, rock on Tommy!

I thought of you as I wrote the question. What Roy said, Tommy!

My appendix ruptured, which often leads to peritonitis and death (my paternal grandma, for example). Mine formed an absess and made its way halfway across my abdomen, which the surgeon found after slicing across my abdomen in search of it. 1982, I think.

I guess you could say I'm having one now,as we speak.

I'm praying for you, like it or not!

But that stuff is part of you. We know each other better when we share little bits of ourselves.
How good would this site be if everyone answered in monosyllables?

Neither did I, not a clue for months, everyone else seemed more worried than me.

We were two of the very lucky ones Roy, most people drop down dead with them .And look at us still here having our say.

Good surgeon in my case, Mr Steers, neurological superstar, used to send him a Christmas card every year but sadly he died in 2006, forever grateful to the man.

They are very clever people. I didn't have an operation, mine was a rotten blood vessel which sealed itself up . I have a tiny anurism on the opposite side, but the consultant saI'd it was so small it was best left alone, he said it would be OK for about twenty years, that was fifteen years ago.

I had four or five brushes with death. Can't go into it now, but tune in tomorrow ( 6-20-16 ) and I'll tell you more about it.

I'm waiting! Get back here and tell us.

Yes about four time's "Sport Bikes" and I really think now that they should only be driven on the track, and under controlled conditions.
