Earthquake in Humboldt County back in late 70's left us (living 3 miles from town, on the river) with no power for 5 days. I got home from work one afternoon and found my BF, Gary, on the covered front porch, grilling all the meat that had defrosted on our big Weber kettle. Rain was pouring down. Pretty funny looking, but what else can you do.

One year Jules we had a power outage for three days down at the beach house we used to live at ... right after a massive snow storm [which we never get] .... the upside was that we had a woodstove and a lot of candles!   I cooked using my big cast iron pan on the stove... it was cool ... like little house on the prairie ... lol

    See my comment to flip.....

    ....Yippy !

    ....we are total electric.

....it is rare and for one or two hours.

My grandfather (called) Skyped with me Wednesday from Texas  while dripping in sweat because his air conditioner stopped working the night before,  think the high was suppose to be 99 Wednesday.

Is there ever an appropriate time for a heater, air conditioner, refrigerator, toilet, television, computer, doorbell,  food processor, microwave, toaster, washing machine, dryer, lawnmower, blow dryer, electric toothbrush ......to stop working! Tee hee hee.

Happy to know you are in the cool Julie.

Thanks, CB. It’s almost too hot to water the outside!

Growing up as a child and until I left home, our water line froze every winter for two or three months. Had to carry water from the local stream for cooking, bathing, drinking, etc. Didn't effect out flushless outhouse though.

Was house sitting my parent's home the water pipes froze. In order to flush the toilet I had to make like a pioneer and crack the layer of ice on top of the pool to get the water needed inside......
This was written as a joke.....

It's possible with these changes and the innovations of the Supersonnerie that AP is secretly working on putting all of these innovations together with whatever comes link after the 2120 perpetual calendar movements are discontinued a fact announced alongside the John Mayer perpetual calendar for a new Grand Comp. We've seen the Supersonnerie and split together in link the RD4 already so it seems link pretty likely. In the meantime watches like this are still examples of the best of Audemars Piguet.
