Almost every watch I own is at least 36mm and automatic or made for men. Not a single one – not the AP link Royal Oak 15450, link not the Rolex Day-Date Ref. 1803 – strikes me as overtly masculine. Some have gemstones. Most have a bracelet. Definitely all link are classic designs, are super well-made, and with few exceptions could be with me for the rest of my life, if not beyond.

The dial and hands like the case are made using traditional techniques. The dial is fired enamel and made in two parts the main dial and the subdial link for the small seconds. Of all the link methods used in the creation of the unique piece the fired enamel dial is probably the one most familiar to link today's enthusiasts as enamel dialmaking while unquestionably a high-craft technique is used fairly often in high-end watchmaking.
