Wait until the mom leaves the nest and spray the plant with a plastic bottle sprayer  but avoid touching the plant  with your hands and don't spray the nest. Hopefully this will be enough water to keep the plant alive  until  after the eggs hatch and they are ready to fly the coop.

And of course it is the fiftieth anniversary of the Moon landing after all. I intend to spend the evening link perhaps watching The Right Stuff and Apollo 13 back to back and then at 1056 PM EST glancing at my Speedmaster at the exact moment Neil Armstrong spoke the words fifty years ago "That's one small step for a man ... one giant leap for mankind" link and remembering how link it felt to hear them then and how that feeling is still fresh five decades later.
