I must have been 6 when I learned how to tie my shoelaces.  I don't remember who taught me, but it could have been my grandfather, grandmother, mother, one of my aunts or uncles because I lived with several people all older than me.

In between 4 and 5 years old, my Mother taught me to tie my laces, tell the time and write my name and address before I started Primary school, a good wee start I guess.

Bailey is 5 and I'm trying to teach her. But all her shoes have Velcro straps, or her boots. So she's learning with my shoes.

I don't remember.  But, my kids' kindergarten teacher wanted kids to know how when they arrived on Day 1.  I taught all 3 of them before school started.  My oldest son has the thing I made to help them learn (cardboard with holes punched in shoelace pattern, with lace in place) and his kids are learning the same way. 

i started at 6 and perfected it at 60.  :)

I learnt when I was somewhere between 4 and 5 it was a must before  we started school. I believe  my older brother taught  me , as he did many other things.
