Defining quality in watches particularly vintage watches is no easy task. Here is where my colleague Mark Kauzlerich would use one of his favorite quotes one link by Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart "I know it when I see it" but a lot of what we see as quality is muddled in being aesthetically link drawn to a watch. Design choices from the dial to case size are mostly subjective and have little to nothing to do with quality which is best assessed by examining the watch's link components.
