Have you ever caught a friend in a lie?

This happened to me a couple of nights ago, and the lie was actually "outted" by a comment made by a third person.  My friend tried to cover up for herself, and I only commented to the third person with a positive response. The lie is actually very hurtful to me.
There's nothing to be gained by bringing it up, and I need to get past the hurt feelings.
Any suggestions on how to do this?

    No problem,,

....treat her like you want to be treated.

Well, there's a problem, because I wouldn't lie to her in the first place.

Explain to third person that you are hurt by your misrepresentation  being smirched, and its not your way of going about things in life,,

But then again one lie premotes
another, until until they are left with egg on thier face,,
