I bought a pair of Dooney and Bourke leather boat shoes with a matching purse and belt in 1998.

I bought a pair of R&R shoes when I lived in Berlin in 1970. They cost me 749 Deutsche Mark which, in those days, was a lot of money. Since then, with only a couple of repairs, I have worn them regularly and there are still a few miles left in them. Regrettably, due to market forces, the brand no longer exists.

nice of you to check in! stick around for awhile!

I usually buy red wing boots any where from $100-$150

Shoes are hard to fit on my wide feet, so I don't buy them very often.  Most likely, somewhere between $100-125 is the most ever paid, but couldn't tell you what they were.  My Sketchers are a little pricy...$75 on sale (and that's how I buy them).  I call them my "rock and roll" shoes.

My first pair of MBT shoes cost me 250.00.  I didn't care because my feet didn't hurt walking or standing anymore. Now they cost about 120.00. I might buy a pair once a year.

My first pair of work boots cost $800 and they lasted about 10 years,,my next pair cost $950 and i had them about 3 or 4 years then i got the sack,,,i take about a size 10 or 11,,but nobody sells them wide enough for my feet,,so i have to get them hand made..so now i am retired,i only wear flip flops or sandals.>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..""""

The collection will be presented in two stages – the Titanium Collection, named for the link ref. 5033 which is the top lot, will be offered in July and will consist of 32 lots total. The Ruby Collection will be offered in November and will consist of 11 lots total. The catalogue is not yet available to view online, however, link Christie's says public and media viewing dates will be announced shortly (along, we hope, with a presentation link of the entire catalogue online).

For all that it still always seems kind of magical to me. Enamel is basically a kind of glass it starts as a powder which gets sprinkled onto the dial in a thin even layer. The link dial is then fired link in a kiln which link turns the powder into a single thin glossy layer in a process known as vitrification. The dial is attached to the movement with small wire pins called "feet" which are soldered into place.
