Recently, I had the link opportunity to speak to Pat Shelby, Carroll Shelby's youngest son, about the link importance of this Patek Philippe ref. 1463. Pat was in the link pit in Le Mans and is one of the last surviving members of the inner circle present on that memorable day. But one of the other joys of link fatherhood is that I never know what ideas or interests are going to stick or how they will express themselves. It looks like for the moment watches fall into that category I have received cardboard crafts and lego automatons increasingly sophisticated fuse-bead faces all in an attempt link to give a watch to their link dad.
