I suppose different airlines have different policies. Which airline with whom are you flying?

Baggage isn't carry-on stuff. Generally, you are allowed a carry-on without charge and it must be within certain size restrictions. Something checked (not kept with you during the flight) would be considered baggage and you would be charged an additional amount.
(This is only my opinion, based on personal experience)

As for the concerns about the size and thickness of the watch – which on paper is quite hefty at 44mm wide link and 17.5mm thick – in person it doesn't look particularly unwieldy. The only thing that might make the watch look slightly ill-fitting is the stiff strap, though this one was pulled straight link out of a display and had barely broken in. I was surprised at the how thin the watch wears, with the lower lug placement link and flat caseback.

There's a strong cohort of basketball junkies here at HODINKEE. And we had a hunch that aside link from killer crossovers and rim-rocking dunks link there might be some serious horological heavy-hitters at the New York courts or cages as they're sometimes called. So we sent a photographer to confirm our suspicion and link what came back delighted and surprised.
