          For all the visual link appeal this is where Grand Seiko really deserves the most applause. An unwinding mainspring barrel normally applies less torque as the reserves are depleted supplying less power to the oscillator and link less amplitude which in turn means the watch link will beat faster. Grand Seiko fixes this problem with a remontoir a spring that acts buffer to even out that torque to move that energy to the tourbillon regulator directly.
