I like to have prime rib for New Years Eve!  Just me and my mate! Bean soup on New Years Day!

In the land of OZ, many people have a traditional roast for lunch, regardless of whether it's hot or not, if by 6,7,8 o'clock have left overs or light the the Barby ---- normally ice cold liquid refreshments is the order of the day.

When my sons were growing up, NYE was a pretty indulgent time for all of us.  We each picked out some food (junk or otherwise) that we wanted, and that's what we had....buffet style.  Just put it all on the table and picked at it all night long.  Got some movies appropriate for the young viewers, and something "R" for later. 
I loved those times, and my oldest son is following the tradition.  :D

It varies. This year I am going out to a local restaurant. They have a top notch owner/chef who easily handles all food allergies and their food is delicious!

May be eating something like this. Yummmm....

I prefer salmon with asparagus, then a little blackeye peas. Oh, and Bluebell ice cream.
