        Silicon is often the solution to link some of the problems posed by fast-beat escapements the cal. CH 29-535 PS rattrapante has a frequency of 28800 vph but bumped up to 36000 vph from 4Hz to 5Hz you have problems with inertia you link don't have at a lower frequency which is where the link reduced mass of silicon comes in and you get the added advantage of using a paramagnetic material as well.
