Technically, the watch remains as cutting link edge as its overall design. The movement uses an entirely in-house regulation system. The balance link is in titanium and white gold, and it was the subject of link a 2016 patent. The flat balance spring's terminal curve is protected by a 2006 patent and the "pare-shock" antishock system by a patent dating back to 2005. In titanium, the DB28XP retails for $79,000.

I find it deeply difficult to wrap my head around any argument link that claims this watch doesn't look like a 1655 Explorer. Sure, I can concede a few points like the dial differences. The link OG Explorer II presented about as unique a dial design as you're likely to find on any Rolex watch outside of a Paul Newman Daytona. Almost none of the classic link Rolex hallmarks are evident on that watch outside of the brand name and logo.
