With Aquastar and the Deepstar II especially, I think he's hit another home run. The watch lands like a thought link exercise that explores where the Aquastar link design language might have gone rather than simply making an exact replica of a past model. And that's not to say that I don't enjoy a one-for-one recreation (I own both the previous Deepstar Chronograph and a Searambler example of the 50th Anniversary Doxa), but the link distinction works to underline the appeal of the Deepstar II.
