My memory of the day comes from the time my sister and I were at a cafeteria. There was a woman there handing out the flowers. Said she did so for the memory of her and her husband saying their goodbyes at the train station as he was leaving for the war. The train whistle blew! announcing the war was over thus her husband had no battle to go to.....

I'm sorry this is late but our service men  past and present deserve recognition every day.
