    Are you competitive?

Do you go to extremes or let it roll off your back?

Yes but mostly in a fun way, if it is with others. I am very competitive with myself, in that I always try to do the best job that I can or I try to do something better than at the last (golf) outing. Competing is not stressful though. For me, it's just fun.     :)

Aw Hec ... wish I was 80 years younger ... lol

An old english saying which seems to go out the window nowadays -'It is not whether you win or lose it is how you play the game, it is more like the end justify the means.

I thought I was the cynical one!

You betcha!   I try to bowl better than any other woman in my leagues (and as many men as possible, too).  I try to get the highest grade in my classes.

On the other hand, those are things that I have the real possibility of accomplishing.  In many other competitive areas, I know that I will always be bested, and I do not compete, but just try to do my best so I can "feel good" about what I do accomplish.  I seldom flat-out quit.

Then I am in the company of a strong woman, no matter what anybody says.

She must be a strong woman, considering all the abuse she takes, particularly from the totally biased (liberal) news media.

From all I can tell, she was doing an excellent job as Alaska's governor.

I could never figure out her reason for resigning. Do you know?
    Bob/PKB

Not a clue. Her daughter is a case, though, teenage mom x 2 (I believe she now has 2 kids and is still single). I wonder if people figure if you can't manage the people you bore and raised, how can you manage a whole state?

But she had resigned before Bristol became an issue I think.
    Bob/PKB

I'll see if I can find out something tangible.

Why Sarah Palin Quit: The Five Best Explanations
    By Jay Newton-Small / Anchorage Monday, July 06, 2009
It is a lengthy article. The first reason is that "it worked before", when she resigned from a board as a "selfless act" and earned "kudos from the citizens". I believe it was the utility corporation for Alaska. I haven't read the whole thing yet.

Thanks Bob. I'll check it out.

Image result for winner photos   Of course...in any sport i will try 150% to win.if i lose i will try and figure out why..winning is important,,however losing with grace is also important..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

I am very competitive, especially when I play pool. But I also respect both the person I am playing and their team members. I don't like when people get angry so I mentally tie them up in pink ribbons with Light and Love.

Yes. I am trying to do my things better always.

    Bob/PKB

I like your focus on doing what you do better!
    nogradiremete

Hey Bob! What do you mean?
    nogradiremete

My focus is on the present. And where is your focus?
    Bob/PKB

Relax, please. I'm not on the website non-stop. You said that you attempt to improve what you do consistently. I appreciate that you appear to strive to "Make the good better, and the better, best."
It also appears that you are a little defensive to the point of being a little confrontational and offensive. What's the problem. I paid you a compliment and you got upset???

no. i wish i was more competitive. i like to see everybody do their own thing without pressure of beating the next guy or gal. although i did play sports in junior high.
