A cinquain poem has five lines, for a dolphin example you could have.........

Dolphin,
Fastest swimmer,
Eating, swimming, squeaking,
Sleeping in the ocean tonight,
Dolphin!

A cinquain is a five line poem.

one word
(subject or noun) 

Line 2: 

two words
(adjectives) that describe line 1 

Line 3: 

three words
(action verbs) that relate to line 1 

Line 4: 

four words
(feelings or a complete sentence) that relates to line 1 

Line 5: 

one word
(synonym of line 1 or a word that sums it up)

For most of my childhood, my hometown had very little diversity. I was one of a small handful of Asian kids at my elementary link school (people thought we were all related) and being adopted into an interracial family made me link doubly unusual. Staying in the closet until college only added fuel to the awkward, link anxiety-filled fire that was my adolescence. I didn't exactly fit in.
