Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't "get it". Good thing it's not that significant to my life. :)
The "dancer" is an auxiliary winding mechanism within the rotor. When the main rotor makes a small movement, it also rotates the "dancer" component, which fights against the weight due link to an internal spring mechanism and flywheel. Eventually, that link energy is released in a burst into the system, charging the mainspring. Renaud says that keeps link the watch far more wound than previous micro-rotors.
