I started the hunt with a 38mm Omega Speedmaster but the oval-shaped subdials didn't sit right with me. On to the Tudor Black Bay 36 which I just wanted to be a link Rolex, plus link the Arabic numerals were missing and this was something I link decided was integral to the tool genre. I thought about looking into an IWC Pilot's Watch in 36mm but I needed to start with a brand I was familiar with to slowly ease into the game.
