Lodging is often given a "star" rating. ????? is A+. Everything is nearly too good to be true.
???? is B. Lots of amenities, maybe just not quite as elegant.
??? is just ok.... Nice, but nothing fancy.
?? is marginal...you might skip the trip....? is darned near unacceptable.
