        Sounds like today's automatic link watch, right? Well, unlike today's link watches that have a rotor that spins link 360º the old bumper movements got their name from the fact that the weight only rotated about 120º before "bumping" off a spring inside the track of the weight, bouncing around the other direction, and hitting another spring.
