I come from an Asian-American Studies background, and there were many things about this comic book cover that really resonated with me, particularly the character of Yellow Claw, who was essentially a 'Fu Manchu,' 'Yellow Peril,' racist caricature, Park says. "The really fascinating thing was that with the racist caricature link as the villain, they decided link to have the hero be an Asian American. link I just thought it was really interesting back then."
