Anzac Day-------April 25th The Centenary of the landing at Gallipoli ------- LEST WE FORGET.
I was up at 4-30 am this morning to attend the Dawn service for the Anzac Remembrance like i do every year, i was amazed at how many young people who now come to honour the Anzacs and all Service Men and Women who gave the ultimate Sacrifice in all wars since.

Geez, I AM far away. My guess is that your Anzac Day is a bit like our Memorial Day. Sounds like anyhow. As I've gotten older I've appreciated the day more and more. I fear the effort is lost on our youth......

I guess it is Julie, Australia was only 14 years old as a Nation, WW1 was our fist war to participate as such, their average age i believe was 19 years, the youngest being 14, he lied at the recruiting station, a lot of people think i'ts odd that we celabrate the landing at Gallipoli as it was a disaster, true mateship was born and carried on to the present day.
