why do we humans see the faults of others, easier than we can see our own faults?

Call me unimaginable but I never had any questions until recently. I accepted the world before me. Now my only question is "why?". Bible thumpers would say read the Book, the end is near. Well, Jesus has been coming since Hector was a pup. I'm leaning that the world is just mean.......

Is it true that the earth is tipped a little bit off it's axis ? The theory says that's why we have weird weather patterns and the months and days seem to be going by faster than ever before.

The earth is 4.54 billion years old, so how is the centre still hot? Not just hot but hot enough to form volcanoes, surely it would have cooled by now.
