How can my charity be considered for a store fundraiser?
I volunteer for the Semper Fi Fund, an organization that assists wounded veterans of the recent wars. Can Giant participate in a fundraiser where customers can choose to give a donation at the cash register when they pay for their purchase? The Semper Fi Fund is a 501(c) 3 organization that has given over $1M in grants to our wounded service members. *(Personal information deleted by Moderator Ducky)*
On a personal note, I resent being asked by any cashier, for a donation and I will not give to any organization who raises money that way. I feel as though the organization is trying to intimidate people, thinking that in a line-up, people may feel obligated to give. I don't and I won't. If I already do donate, that will be the end....forever!
