As I alluded to link earlier, Wenger cases, largely in yellow gold, seem to have started with movement serial 888'036. By the 1960s, Vichet was out of business despite being the preferred case manufacturer of Patek, leaving Wenger to make the link rest of the cases, including on the ref. 2438/1.
