Fleas?
When we were in Aus. the uncle was parking car, so I jumped out to get the gate. While closing it, a salesman walked up with a case in his hand. The shepard came from backyard, salesman balked, I said, "oh, don't be afraid of this little fella, its his bigger brother you need to watch out for". The salesman ran away. The uncle came out front and asked what was going on, I told him story, he laughed, and said, I will remember it for the next salesman!

After the war (WW2) there weren't any German Shepherds around here in Brisbane but there were plenty of Alsations.Funny That.
I know. My Grand mother was German,It was all a secret.I never knew until I was about 20.My grandfather was Polish & I was always told my grandmother was as well. Sadly I never knew her but from all accounts she was quite a lady.Of course they arrived in this country a long time before WW1 even. But prejudices last a long time.
