        Yes, as Vinny says, follow the water lines from the block or radiator.  Could there be a decorative cover, as in some cars, this may be hiding the hoses?

          Usually on any car engine the thermostat will be located where the upper hose from the radiator meets the engine.  i don't see why a Peugeot would be any different.
