 I've owned 3 dually's  and usually put 1000 lbs in the back of em in the winter.Two wheel drive and dual wheels are not worth a slap in the a$$ when it comes to snow.. The duels fight one another for the track the front tires are making, and as light as the rear end is {even worse with diesel engines, The front is so much heavier  } 2-3 inches of snow will stop a dually in its tracks. I remember sitting in town with a 97 two wheel drive dually and just a few inches of snow, I could go in a circle but couldn't get the dang thing to go straight... Finally a guy with a 4wheel drive Chevy pulled me to a better road surface. I now own a F350 with four wheel drive, much better but the back is still pretty squirrely with the duels still fighting for the front track.
