Difficult question. I would venture to guess that the separation of debtors from an ax murderers would be nice.  If I was in jail for my bills I would like to do my time NOT looking over my shoulder. If I could pay off my bills by doing time I'd say"lock me up!"

You question this? Which ones do YOU think should have been kept?

I think homing pigeons should be detained. I thought all ducks would approve. It would make the skies less crowded.

The same thing was done here in California. One law I liked was axed. That was the law that said anyone could remove junk from state owned garbage dumps. Although it needed modification, it was just axed because businesses didn't like the fact that poor people could get something used or repairable from the trash. I saw that as a cursed insult by State Assembly Members who over stepped their authority to push poor folk further into the gutter until their nose bleed. And now I see that the elected freedom-haters are wrecking more lives by property taxes that exceed Social Security benefits for seniors forcing old folk onto the streets.
