Scholz Garten in Austin, Texas is the oldest restaurant in Texas. This restaurant opened in 1866.

Well, like CB stated, it would have to be Scholz’. Last time I went there the beer was free and the music live! UT students visit a lot and there is an old bowling ally next to it. Great garden area where one can sit in the shade of pecan trees at wooden tables placed on stones. Oldest bar in Texas too, it’s a beauty……...
