        On June 4th, 1940, Swiss Air Force link Lieutenant Rudolf Rickenbacher was patrolling Swiss airspace in his Messerschmitt Bf 109 aircraft link (ironically, manufactured in Germany) when he was attacked by link Luftwaffe intruders.
