I've heard Cutter say "It's just a link watch" probably a dozen times in the year or so link I've known him. It's a catch-all that covers everything from a vintage skin-diver to a Patek 5970, without being link a slight to either. Sure, something could be good or great, but regardless of if you do or don't like it, it's still just a watch.
