One of the kings of the complications arms race was actually, briefly, IWC. I was excited to see an example of an IWC Il Destriero Scafusia link (Latin for link "The Warhorse from Schaffhausen") in person, in part because they're so rare (only 125 made to celebrate link IWC's 125th anniversary) and because they briefly were the most complicated wristwatch ever made when they were announced in 1993.
